How my story began

A stay-at-home mom and wife who loves to cook.

That’s why I embarked on this journey. Being at home with our child grants me some downtime during her naps, and I’ve discovered a desire to explore new hobbies. While I already enjoy cooking, the idea of filming it and sharing it through social media and this blog seemed like an exciting venture. Being a creative soul, I thought it fitting to delve into the realm of content creation.

Now the important stuff – Born and raised in Louisiana, my upbringing has been a wild ride, but I’m grateful for every twist and turn. I’m married to the sweetest, most wonderful man in the world—seriously, I can’t believe my luck, lol. He’ll probably laugh when he reads this, but it’s true :’) We’ve been blessed with a beautiful little girl, as you can see in the picture, and she’s made our lives even better.

Now for the most important stuff – I love God and I love His people. John 6:35 ‘And Jesus said unto them, “I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”‘ While this verse is definitely talking about spiritual hunger and thirst, it is also about physical bread. It reminds us that Jesus is the bread of life, satisfying our spiritual hunger and thirst, as well as our physical needs. I can honestly say my life is blessed because of Him. Maybe one day I’ll share my testimony! Thanks for being here, and I hope you find something you like! Whether you’re here for recipes or have a question, feel free to reach out!

PS – As stated above, I’m a Louisiana gal, so don’t be surprised to see Tony Chachere’s cajun seasoning sprinkled in every savory meal — I can’t help it!

Mostly iPhone photography, but I do use my Canon R5 sometimes with an 85mm lens to capture that REALLY fancy shot.

Walmart, Kroger, Market Basket, but 98% Walmart because I signed up for the Plus membership on Black Friday for 50% off, so we get free delivery, and it’s the best thing in the world!!! But there are some things that only Kroger carries that we need, like Annie’s organic snacks for the baby and shaved peppered turkey from the deli bc it’s the BEST. Also, we prefer gnocchi and other pastas from Kroger. Market Basket is the closest option, so if we happen to need a few things on the fly, that’s where we go!

Sign up through WordPress.org, use Bluehost as your web host, and get a theme from Etsy! I feel like I learned computer coding, but it really wasn’t that bad. I watched all of the videos from the Etsy seller, and she was so helpful! Shoutout to Heartenmade!
